A large healthcare provider wanted to analyze its learning infrastructure to see if efficiencies could be created while improving the learning experience for associates. The provider engaged Fortune’s Path to determine if changes in their learning governance and administrative processes could generate cost savings and improve outcomes for learners.
The Solution
Fortune’s Path conducted an analysis of the provider’s data and compared it to a peer group of eight other larger provider organizations. Fortune’s Path then determined the relationship between an organization’s learning governance model and outcomes such as help desk requests and the number of hours required to administer the system. Fortune’s Path then conducted an analysis to identify the most important users of the learning system — users who would have an outsized influence on efficiency if their behavior changed. From there, we created a set of recommendations to improve the average skill set of those users in ways that would save time and improve the learner experience.
Fortune’s Path interviewed critical stakeholders to identify best practices and assets that could be leveraged throughout the learning organization. Fortune’s Path also audited a selection of online courses to determine how well they complied with the organization’s existing best practices.
Fortune’s Path summarized the research in a report of the current state, desired state, and path to achieve the desired future state. The report identified millions in potential efficiencies and gave the provider an actionable plan for achieving the benefits.
